In conjunction with Fraternity and Sorority Life, Tied with the Tide is a program for all students participating in early move in due to various activities to make new friends and learn about various resources at the Capstone.

Participation

All Tied with the Tide events are FREE for all University of Alabama students. Just bring yourself and we’ll provide everything else!
No. We are a department on campus whose sole purpose is to create a space for students to connect outside of the classroom. All you have to do is show up!

Check in is easy with our new system! Just make sure to bring your smartphone to the check-in table, enter sa.ua.edu/upevents, follow the instructions on the screen, and you’ll be good to go! Valid MyBama credentials are required for check-in. Our staff is always available to answer any questions you might have about the check-in process.

We also host our UP Engage series every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the fall and spring semesters featuring events such as watch parties, tailgates, comedy shows, Mardi Gras, Fright Mania, and more.
